AC Transit's search for a new General Manager has begun.
This position reports directly to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the business affairs of the district. In addition, the general manager provides leadership as the focal point for identifying, promoting and implementing policies, goals and programs to meet established and forecasted community and district needs in regard to both funding and service.
The Board of Directors invites you to participate in a brief survey that will help the board in its evaluation of candidates for this important role at AC Transit. Please click on the link below to access the survey, which will remain open through midnight on Friday, Sept. 9.

In addition, the general public is welcome to attend the Board of Directors meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, to hear a brief presentation on the recruitment process and provide comment on the qualities and characteristics of the next general manager.
A different approach used by AC Transit. Results can be seen after the meeting but it can be said that AC transit is in urgent need for a GM and considering public opinion in this can be a tedious task but let see how well AC transit can handle this situation!!
