Come, hang out and meet OL reporters and team members, local leaders and your community neighbors - then talk about the issues.
This second news cafe will focus on how people in Oakland use social media to get the word out about causes and events - with powerful results.
The topic of discussion: Why social media is a powerful tool for connecting
people around events and issues - and sharing important moments as they
happen.
Our sponsor - Full Court Communications
- will join the discussion of best practices and real world cases for using
social media tools that have taken place in Oakland. Find
out how Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, uStream and blogs have become
amplifiers for cultural connections and causes.
Join us at Urban Blend on Broadway near Jack London Square and talk about why social media is a powerful toll for connecting people around events and issues.
