With a mix of theater, hip-hop, drama, dance and comedy that explores the rich expression of African American gay life in the United States, "Fierce Love (Remix)" comes to New Conservatory Theater in San Francisco this Wednesday, Oct. 17 and runs through Oct. 28.

The show, in association with AfroSolo Arts Festival 2012, is written, directed and performed by Pomo Afro Homos, which is short for Postmodern African American Homosexuals. The newly-revived group uses humor and personal narratives to explore the joys, conflicts, pleasures, pains and contradictions of Black gay life.

The award-winning "Fierce Love: Stories from Black Gay Life in San Francisco" premiered in 1991 and was immensely successful.
