The Oakland City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. TONIGHT, Feb. 1, on the third floor of City Hall, 1 Frank Ogawa Plaza.

1. Cannabis cultivation

The fight against AIDS is personal for the Allen Temple Baptist Church.

“The whole church and the premise of the church is to help provide social justice services in the community,” said Gloria Cox-Crowell, who oversees the church’s AIDS ministry. “The services we provide are for the community. Not for the congregation, but for the community.”
