On Thursday, April 21 - in honor of Earth Day - join BART at its first ever Blue Sky Festival.

The event, which runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Justin Herman Plaza (between Embarcadero BART station and the Ferry Building), will feature dozens of earth-friendly exhibitors with information and organic food giveaways.

On Monday evening, the Montgomery, Powell and Civic Center BART stations were all closed at one point, keeping hundreds of commuters within the city while 100 or so protesters spoke out against the transit agency's police department for their behavior in the recent slaying of Charles Hill and for shutting off cell phones on Aug. 11.
