Hundreds came out on Labor Day for the second Annual Pan African Family Reunion at Mosswood Park.

The event featured music, Capoeira, games–potato sack races, children's "bounce house" and more–live performances, and a sunset dance and drum session. The evening ended with a showing of "Coming to America" in the amphitheater.  See photos from The Black Hour right here:

Homeowners and residents of the quiet enclave of Maxwell Park in East Oakland came together Tuesday evening, calling for a “foreclosure freeze” before the implementation of the Homeowners Bill of Rights that is due to go into effect in January 2013.
