Thanks to the newest tech boom, many people are moving to the Bay Area or are looking for more affordable properties than those listed in San Francisco.

All of a sudden, Oakland looks like a great deal for many - which can be a challenge for locals looking to buy a home in a different neighborhood.

Matéo Fowler had never seen the Peralta House Museum before he started training as a Community Tour Leader, although he’s lived near the park for most of his life. The training resonated with Matéo’s love of history, and his many unanswered questions.

I was entertained by these recent threads in my neighborhood. Sharing vegetables, eggs, wine. Manure from chickens, ducks, and goats for compost. Vegetable scraps as feed for rabbits, ducks, and goats.

Last week, the Glenview Neighborhood Association held a meeting despite the rain. More than thirty residents braved Park Boulevard’s rush hour traffic and raging water run-off to attend. Reps from the Woodruffians, a network of neighborhood watch teams with origins in the Glenview, also showed up for the latest news.
