Trainings
We believe that everyone who's interested should know how to use social media tools to connect to people around shared interests and concerns.
We are especially interested in helping local non-profits, community organization, and people working in their community to be able to use blogging, twitter, facebook, youtube and other tools if they wish to.
We also know Oakland Local can be a great outreach tool for local organizations, and for regional organizations in the Bay area.
Oakland Local will be holding community coffees and brownbags for partners regularly to help organizations build capacity in using our site and the social web.
If you are a partner and want to find out about the next brown bag, or would like more info, contact Susan at susan at oaklandlocal dot com.
If you're interested in working with us to teach community groups in your neighborhood how to blog and/or use social media, we're open...give Kwan a shout, kwan at Oakland Local dot com and let us know who you are and what your ideas are about working together.
