As a non-profit community news and media site, we’re both reliant on the good will and contributions of readers, contributors, donors, funders, advertisers and friends, and committed to transparency.  So when our developer started talking about wanting to make our spiffy new wordpress site more open source and participatory, we all thought it was a great idea.  So now, thanks to maiki, we have a site that is both a place interested folks can hear more about what’s happening with the technical side of our network, and a place where registered OL users can post comments, questions, and ideas.

Make Oakland Local is the new space–we hope you will post feature requests, bugs and ideas.
