8th Annual Jingletown Winter ArtWalk

The annual Winter Open Studio event highlights the work of more than 50 artists who live and/or work in the area known as Jingletown, which is situated between the Park and Fruitvale Street bridges bordered by the estuary separating Oakland from the island of Alameda. Norton Factory Winter Open Studios and Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair
Saturday and Sunday, December 7 – 8, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Norton Factory Studios, 3094 East 10th Street, Oakland

Shop local this holiday season at the Norton Factory Studios Winter Open Studios and Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair! Norton Factory Studios resident artists will open their studios to the public and give attendees a glimpse into the life and creative process of working artists. In addition, a curated group of over 20 local artisans will show and sell their wares in the exhibition space and classroom. Exhibitors work in a variety of media including ceramics, jewelry, glass, mixed media, painting, textiles, and more. This event runs in partnership with Jingletown’s Annual Winter ArtWalk (see above), with an additional 75 artists at 7 different locations including Jingletown Art Studios, 4:20 Gallery, CottonMill Studios, Waterpark Lofts, Ford Street Studios, Apples and Oranges Gallery, and Gray Loft Gallery. Berkeley Artisans Holiday Open Studios
Saturdays and Sundays December 7 – 8, 14 – 15, and 21-22, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Over 100 professional artists, craftspeople and galleries at studio buildings in Berkeley will open their doors to the public during the 22nd annual Berkeley Artisans Holiday Open Studios. All manner of fine art and craft will be shown, including blown glass, functional and decorative ceramics, ornaments, Menorahs, lamps and lighting, painted and custom furniture, garden art, floor cloths, one-of-a-kind clothing, textiles, dolls, leather bags, many styles of jewelry, sculpture, photography, paintings, original prints and works on paper, musical instruments, mosaics, work from recycled materials, and artisan food products. All work is handcrafted, and many pieces are one-of-a-kind. This self-guided tour presents a unique opportunity to meet the artists, to buy original and creative gifts, and to see working craft studios. The art walk gives viewers a glimpse into the creative process, and the opportunity to sign up for classes and workshops.
