Peralta Hacienda Historical Park, the birthplace of Oakland, is hosting a series of six Saturday hands-on history days, free for the whole family to enjoy, that bring to life the Native American history of the East Bay. From March 7 through April 18, 230-530 Saturdays, the activity days will feature plenty to keep both adults and children busy and open their minds to the contributions of the area’s First Peoples. Each event will be given in Spanish and English.

Please contact to make a reservation. Visit to learn more. Peralta Hacienda is located in Oakland’s Fruitvale at 2465 34th Ave.

For the first event on March 7, the audience will taste Ohlone food, play Ohlone games, and learn about the extraordinary knowledge the Ohlone had of the natural world through a series of activity stations.
